Here at Mid-Continent, we know that a very important part of your college experience is what happens outside of the classroom and with students representing 15 states and 10 countries, we know how important it is to stay connected:
Community life is an integral part of MCU. The best way to get connected? Jump right in and take advantageof the many opportunities we have to build community! Whether it’s participating with your TAG group during orientation, joining an intramural team, showing your school pride at Spirit Day, bringing your A-game to Water Wars, sharing with your fellow students at The Journey, joining the student section to cheer on the Cougars, attending Residence Life events, or showing your talent (or lack thereof) at Open Mic Night, you’ll have plenty of chances to participate in campus community and have a ball!
In addition to campus activities, you’ll find plenty of community spaces on campus. The Loft features a 55” HD TV, billiards, ping pong, games, wi-fi, and a really cool atmosphere. It’s a great place to hang out with friends, play a game of pool, or catch your favorite TV shows. The Study Lounge is great place to study alone or in a group, with quiet space, comfy furniture, and wi-fi. It also features a full kitchen for students to satisfy all their baking needs. The Cougar Center has a newly renovated student lounge with a big screen TV that’s perfect for sports fans.
MCU has a number of clubs and organizations where you can get involved and make contributions. From academics to ministry to leadership to hobbies, there’s a place for you to bring your gifts and unique contribution.

Building leaders is another key component of MCU life. We want you to step up to lead as you grow here and to learn to lead through service and a Christian perspective as we work together to build our community.
Step up to run for Student Government Association and work with a team of fellow students to bring your voice to the planning of campus events and activities that recognize and meet the needs of our student body.
Step up as a T.A.G leader to help incoming students adjust to college life and transition into the MCU community through fun activities and events and guidance through necessary information to succeed.
Step up and serve as a Resident Assistant, planning and heading up dorm events, leading monthly community service projects, hosting Cougar Huddles, and providing support and friendship for your residents.
Our Student Leadership Development Team consists of TAG leaders, RAs, and SGA members and is guided by our Step Up, Reach Out logo, following the example of Christ. Your leadership skills and willingness to serve are a vital part of our growth and community here at Mid-Continent.
Community Service opportunities at MCU combine the three key aspects of MCU life: they are Christ centered, community focused, and help to build leaders. In community service opportunities you will find yourself blessed as you participate in giving back to the community around us.
From Adopt-a-Highway cleanup to student-led Breast Cancer Awareness fundraising, you will find many ways to give back at MCU. Student government hosts community service opportunities like the Blood Drive and Operation Christmas Child, while residence halls have monthly community service projects. You will have many great opportunities to give back to the community and find your own connection here and grow as a result.
