Dear Parents:
Having four children of our own “leave home” to go to college, my wife and I are keenly aware of how difficult this time can be for other parents. (As a matter of fact, we are still making monthly payments!)
While the cost of a college education was staggering, our primary concern was that our sons and daughters kept their faith and grew in their understanding of truth during their college years and, of course, safety was a must.
Mid-Continent University has tackled the three primary issues that my wife and I, as parents, felt were most important when we sent our own children off to college.
First of all, college must be affordable. At Mid-Continent University, we have not spent millions of dollars on fancy buildings and monuments to administrators. Instead we spend our money not on buildings but on the best faculty anywhere. Of the twenty six private colleges in Kentucky we are usually ranked one of the lowest in overall cost. An example of this is a statistical study recently completed by www.projectonstudentdebt.org. Guess whose students were listed among the lowest amount of debt after graduation? Mid-Continent University!
There are few Christian institutions today that believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant word of God. At Mid-Continent University, we not only believe this but teach it and will not waiver on this point.
Lastly, my wife and I would not send our children where we thought there would be safety issues. Praise the Lord! At Mid-Continent University, we have not had a single serious incident. With security guards, surveillance technology, and in-residence staff Mid-Continent University is a very safe place.
Because MCU is small we pay close attention to details…a fact that all parents appreciate. If you have a chance to visit Mid-Continent you will see how very different we really are. Stop in and say “Hey!” We look forward to meeting you.
In His service,
Robert J. Imhoff
President
