Applicants should read the following “Admission Terms and Conditions.” Applicants must also complete ALL forms for this program in order for Mid-Continent University to consider them and to process the I-20. By submitting an application to the School for Global Business English (SGBE) of Mid-Continent University, the applicants certify that they understand and agree to the following terms and conditions:

The application fee of $100 is not refundable. Applicants may pay this in the form of check, money order, credit card, or pay online . If the application fee is paid by check or money order, the application will not be processed until the check or money order has been received and processed.

Upon acceptance, a $1,000.00 deposit will be required before an I-20 will be issued. This tuition deposit is only refundable if the SGBE is notified in writing of the cancellation more than 15 days before the semester start date. Students who cancel their enrollment after their I-20 form has been sent to them will not be refunded their tuition deposit until they have returned the original I-20 to the Mid-Continent University Admission’s office. (If the student should decide to begin study in the undergraduate program, another $1,000 deposit will be required.)
When all the above requirements have been met and the applicant has received notification of acceptance to the School for Global Business English certificate program, Mid-Continent University will issue an I-20 to the applicant. The applicant is responsible for taking the steps necessary to receive a Student Visa from his/her respective country’s embassy. The applicant is also responsible for acquiring all his/her travel documents, passport and any other necessary documentation.
NOTE: All applicants receiving an I-20 from Mid-Continent University are officially registered with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service and are issued a SEVIS ID number. All applicants are required to pay the $200.00 SEVIS processing fee. This fee must be paid prior to going to the embassy to obtain a VISA. If a student decides to return to his/her homeland while attending MCU’s School for Global Business English. A signature from the appropriate school official at Mid-Continent University is required on the I-20. This signature is required by Immigration at the Port of Entry in order for the student to be re-admitted into the U.S.

(SGBE) is a part of Mid-Continent University, which is a private, Christ-centered, four-year, liberal arts institution. The SGBE community is one which seeks to honor Jesus Christ while placing a great deal of importance on relationships and recognizing the need for responsible behavior. The “Community Principles and Standards” describe the environment SGBE seeks to maintain. It is also an invitation to join in a very special community experience. SGBE student may not agree with the values or beliefs of the school or find them acceptable. Nevertheless, the responsibilities of community members must be specified to assure orderly community life. Therefore, as a part of the SGBE and Mid-Continent University, students are asked to follow the “Community Principles and Standards” throughout their time of enrollment
