John BarnettFacultyProfessor Barnett holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Management from the University of Illinois. Professor Barnett is currently working on his dissertation work toward completion of his PhD in Business Administration – Management with Northcentral University in Prescott, AZ. Professor Barnett is listed on the National Dean’s List 1988-89 for his undergraduate studies and has recently been admitted into the International Honor Society in Business, Delta Mu Delta for scholastic attainment in his terminal degree studies. Professor Barnett received a National Leadership Award from the National Republican Congressional Committee in 2005. Before beginning a teaching career in 2004 with Mid-Continent University, Professor Barnett held mid-level and corporate level management positions in public sector organizations working with chemical industry production and distribution processes. He is most proud of his 36 year marriage to his wonderful wife Cathy Barnett. It was Cathy’s spiritual strength and biblical knowledge that lovingly guided him toward his decision to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior early in their marriage. John and Cathy live in Benton, Kentucky. An interesting fact about Professor Barnett is his special interest in flying. Nathanael BazzellFacultyNathanael Bazzell is the Assistant Professor of History at Mid-Continent University. He began working at Mid-Continent in July of 2008. Since that time, he has also assisted with the Band and Choral programs. Nathanael attended Murray State University and received his B.A. in 1997 followed by his M.A. in 2000. Tassi BrinkleyFacultyTassi Brinkley has been an instructor in the Elementary Education department at Mid-Continent University for five years. She holds an Associate’s Degree from Paducah Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and a Master of Arts in Education, both from Murray State University. She is currently attending Walden University to obtain an Educational Doctorate in Teacher Leadership. Professor Brinkley has lived in Wingo, Kentucky all of her life. She has been married to Michael Brinkley for 23 years, has one son, Brandon Brinkley, a psychology and counseling student at MCU, one daughter-in-law, Sarah Brinkley, an elementary education student at MCU, and one wonderful granddaughter, Jaidyn. Ray CarrollFacultyRaymond E. Carroll is Director of Adjunct Faculty Instruction and Assessment of Experiential Learning. He also teaches in the College of the Bible. He earned a B.A. degree from Union University in Jackson, TN, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Theology degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has done additional studies at University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Dr. Carroll has held faculty and staff positions at Mid-Continent University since 2001. Since 1998 he has served a congregation in Dyer, TN, where he resides. He has one daughter and two grand-daughters. Katie DachsFacultyMCU’s lead finance professor since 2009, Katie Dachs teaches courses on business finance, macroeconomics, and microeconomics. She also teaches several electives in her areas of interest, including personal finance, investing, and currency trading. Her research interests span a variety of fields, including stock market, currencies, personal financial planning, long term microeconomics, economics of education, and public finance. Her current work focuses on efficiency analysis of the direct loan program and on the extreme events in the markets, changing volatility, and what it means for individual investors. Chad DavidsonFacultyChad Davidson has served Mid-Continent University since 2007 as an adjunct professor in music. Mr. Davidson holds both a Bachelor and Master of Music Education from Murray State University. In 2010 he began serving as the Instructor of Music for MCU. Mr. Davidson has served as the choral director for the Rural Ministry Conference for Lyon/Caldwell county, co-director of the Paducah area mass choir, member of the Kentucky Baptist Men’s Chorale and has lead music conferences for the Kentucky Baptist Convention, West Union Baptist Association and the Blood River Baptist Association. Mr. Davidson is married to Kimberly Jenkins Davidson of Glasgow, KY and they have two children, Reagan and Andrew. Don EmbryFacultyDon Embry is an instructor of Christian Ministries and Biblical Studies in the James W. Cecil Baptist College of the Bible and an instructor of Management in the Mid-Continent Management Degree program. Don serves also as Staff Evangelist for Mid-Continent University and Director of the Christian Ministry Certificate Program. Don. Embry earned a BA degree from Mid-Continent Baptist Bible College in 1982, an MACE degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1992, a MAT degree from The Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 2007 and received a Doctorate of Divinity degree from MCU in 2012. He has served in eight Baptist Churches in three states for over thirty years before joining the faculty of Mid-Continent University. John EvelandFacultyJohn Eveland began teaching mathematics courses for Mid-Continent University as an adjunct instructor in October of 2008, and he began teaching for Mid-Continent full-time in August of 2009. In addition to his work at MCU, he is also employed as a mathematics teacher at Bardstown High School in Bardstown, KY. In 2001, John earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Murray State University with a major in mathematics and a minor in global studies. After finishing this degree, he enrolled at the University of Kentucky where he earned a Master of Arts degree in mathematics in 2003. While teaching, he has continued to further his education at Murray State University (Rank 1 Certification in Secondary Instruction in 2009) and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Arts in Christian Education in 2010). Joseph GallowayFacultyJoseph Warren Galloway has taught math and music in MCU's Advantage Program since 2006. Galloway is a native of Beaumont, TX, and now resides in Elizabethtown, KY. He is a 1976 graduate of Minooka (IL) Community High School and a 1980 graduate of Lewis University (Romeoville, IL; BA, Music). Galloway earned a Master of Church Music (Music Theory and Voice), at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville in 1983, and a Master of Science (Mathematics) at Western Kentucky University in 2005. Galloway has been the music director at Tunnel Hill Baptist Church in Elizabethtown since 1980. He is also a full-time math faculty member at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. Kelsie GrayFacultyKelsie Gray is a full-time English instructor in Mid-Continent University's Advantage program. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance (trumpet) from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and a Master's in Creative Writing from the University of Oregon. She is originally from Yukon, Oklahoma and currently resides in Paducah, KY. In addition to teaching, Kelsie writes and publishes poems and cultivates her organic, heirloom vegetable garden, using the extra produce to help her neighborhood church feed elderly shut-ins in the community. Jeff GroverFacultyDr. Jeff Grover teaches Finance at Mid-Continent University. He graduated from NOVA Southeastern University (2003) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) majoring in Finance. He obtained his Masters in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Fort Campbell, Kentucky in 1996. In addition, he completed his undergraduate studies at Mobile College in Mobile, Alabama where he obtained his Bachelor of Science majoring in Math; minor: Chemistry/English. He is a member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society Prior to joining the staff at Mid-Continent University, Dr Grover has worked as a Chief Research Scientist with DBA Consulting, a Senior Research Scientist with Dynamics Research Corporation and a Program Manager with Bering Straits Logistical Service. He was a Special Forces Officer from 1992-2001, an Infantry Officer from 1985-1990 and an Infantryman from 1975-1985 in the military. During his service, he led over 100 Special Forces soldiers in harsh and hostile intra-continental environments, with multi-cultural diversities, while accomplishing strategic and operational goals and objectives. Shannon HallFacultyShannon Hall is an instructor of Psychology at Mid-Continent University. She graduated from WesternKentucky University in 2001 with a Bachelors in Psychology. She later received her Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from WKU in 2003. Prior to joining the staff at MCU, she has worked with the State of Tennessee in various positions. She is currently the Grants and Special Projects Director for the TN Department of Safety and Homeland Security. In addition, she is a Field Advocate for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This requires staying in contact with state and federal legislators to keep them informed on any mental health legislation that is moving through and encouraging them to support laws that make access to mental health services easier. Shannon is the mother of 5 children: Jordan, Spencer, Michael, Savanna, and Maggie. She attends Full Life Church in Franklin, TN, and loves spending time with her family. Email Shannon Hall |

Kelli HeinzFacultyKelli Heinz holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a Master of Science in Organizational Communication both from Murray State University. She is currently working on her PhD in Organizational Leadership with a Major in Human Resource Development from Regent University. Having worked in the field of higher education in some capacity since 2000, Kelli is passionate about education; specifically, adult education. She has been teaching as an adjunct in the Advantage Program since 2006, and became a full-time faculty member of Mid-Continent in November 2011. Ed HoggFacultyEd Hogg is currently president emeritus of Trinity Theological Seminary of Newburgh, IN. He held positions as Academic Dean, VP for Academic Affairs, Executive VP, and President from 1992-2005. Prior to his positions at Trinity, he worked in the medical field at the McNeil Island FCI in Tacoma, WA. While working at McNeil, he taught courses in management, leadership, and business and health care administration for Chapman University and Trinity as an adjunct faculty member. Prior to McNeil Island, he served as Academic Dean of The International Graduate School of Theology in Honolulu, HI. He says, “The Hawaiian Islands are peaceful and beautiful. I hope to return there to live after I retire.” Dr. Hogg received his B.S. from the University of Nebraska; a M.S. in Business with emphasis in Health Care Admin from the University of Northern Colorado; a M.S. in HR Management Development from Chapman, an Ed. D. in Educational Admin from USC; and a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University. He also has graduate degrees in theology and religious studies and has taught courses in theology, religious studies, business, human services, HR management development and health care administration at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Cynthia JacksonFacultyCynthia began working at MCU in May 2011 as an adjunct professor in the psychology and counseling department. In July, 2011, she was hired as a full-time faculty member for the same department. Prior to transitioning to MCU, Cynthia worked for 15 years as a School Psychologist in Kentucky and then Illinois. She received her BS degree from the University of Kentucky, MS degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University, Certification in School Psychology also from Eastern Kentucky University, and most recently a second MS degree in Educational Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Franklin LewisFacultyFranklin Lewis holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Lee University, a Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Science Education from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, and a Master of Science in Public Health from Walden University. He is currently working on his PhD. in Public Health: Epidemiology. He worked for several years at Focus on the Family before teaching. Erica McKenzieFacultyErica McKenzie began teaching accounting courses for Mid-Continent University as an adjunct instructor in February of 2011, and she began teaching for Mid-Continent full-time in November of 2011. In addition to her work at MCU, she is also employed as Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY. In 2009, Erica earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Transylvania University in Lexington with a major in accounting and a minor in biology. After finishing this degree, she enrolled at the University of Kentucky where she earned a Master of Science degree in accounting in 2010. Jodi McKnightFacultyJodi McKnight is a graduate of Capella University, with a Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology. She holds a Master of Education in Community Counseling from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lindenwood University. In 2010, Jodi received a Ph.D. in Psychology from Capella University. Before coming to Mid-Continent University, her teaching experience came from Southeastern Illinois College and National American University, where she was an adjunct instructor. During that time, she collected over 10 years experience in the clinical realm serving as the Director of Behavioral Health at a community mental health center. She supervised programs in substance abuse, outpatient mental health, psychiatric rehabilitation, assertive community treatment, community support programs, youth services, as well as psychological assessment oversight. Paul MelvinFacultyPaul Melvin is a native son of Southern Illinois and spent more than twenty years working in and around the mining industry across the Illinois Coal Basin. He began his post secondary education as a non-traditional student while working and attending school in the evenings, completing an AAS in Mechanical Engineering from Madisonville Community college in 1998. At that time, work obligations precluded the pursuit of a higher degree. A few years later, circumstances permitted him to leave work and complete a BS in Business Economics and a BS in Financial Management at Southern Illinois University in 2003. During the final semester of undergraduate school, while exploring available options within the mining industry, an opportunity to attend graduate school at SIU presented itself. Electing to pursue the advanced degree, he graduated with a Ph. D. in Economics from Southern Illinois University in 2008. Robert Wade MorseFacultyRobert "Wade" Morse is a full-time instructor of English at Mid-Continent University. He graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Professional and Technical Writing with a minor in Creative Writing in 2008 and a Master of Arts in English Studies in 2010. Wade has been an Adjunct Instructor at Murray State University, (2009-2012) Mid-Continent University (2010-Jan 2012) , and West Kentucky Community and Technical College (2011-Present). Jerry MunizFacultyJerry Muniz graduated from High School in Brookport, IL in 1966 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Murray State University in 1970 with majors in Communication and English Literature. He continued school at Murray State and received a Master of Science degree in Communications in December of 1971. At the same time he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve. He spent over 21 years in the banking industry, working first for Citizens Bank and Trust Co. in Paducah, KY, then at Downstate National Bank in Brookport, leaving that bank as Senior Vice President to accept the position of Dean of Students at Mid-Continent College in November of 1994. Before and during his career in banking, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve for just over 20 years, retiring with the rank of Major. He served in a basic training unit for 14 years (four as a Company Commander) and then for almost seven years in two USAR schools, initially in personnel administration and finally as an instructor for the Command and General Staff Officer's College. He also served a six month state-side assignment during Operation Desert Storm. During his first five years at Mid-Continent, Jerry served as Dean of Students. During the past 11 years, he has been the primary instructor of all of MCU's Communications courses. As an Assistant Professor, he now serves as Lead Instructor in Communications for both the traditional and Advantage divisions of the university. In April of 2008, he received the President's Teaching Excellence Award. Jerry and his wife Charlotte have been married for 37 years and have two children. He has been active in church for over 45 years. He currently teaches the Auditorium Bible Class on Sundays and also serves on the church's Board of Trustees. Randy NicholsFacultyCharles "Randy" Nichols is a Professor of Management with Mid-Continent University. He had most recently served a Professor of Business Administration with Sullivan University in Louisville, KY. Randy Nichols came to Sullivan as the university's first online Dean. Dr. Nichols gained his initial administrative experience while at Oakland City University in Indiana where he served three years as the Program Director for the Master of Science in Management Program. He helped develop the "one weekend a month" option to allow for the program to be completed in a year's time. Randy holds a Ph.D. in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from the Union Institute (Cincinnati, OH), a Master of Public Affairs with a concentration in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor of Science in History and Political Science from Kentucky State University. Randy served nearly seven years as an Army Contract Specialist (buyer) and earned Professional Designation and Certification in Contract Management. He was cited in Essence Magazine (April, 2004) for contributing how to select and take online college courses information to the "Working it" column. He has also published articles in the African-American Journal and the St. Louis Small Business Monthly. In 2009, Dr. Nichols was selected as one of the 26 inaugural faculty with Ph Beta Sigma Fraternity's Leadership Academy. He holds online instructor certifications from the Walden Institute, Thomas Edison State College, Grand Canyon University , Sullivan University, South University and Franklin University and has completed online instructor training with Baker College (Flint, MI), Franklin University, the University of Phoenix and Walden University. Edwin NyamwalaFacultyEdwin Odipo Nyamwala was born and raised in Kenya, Africa. He lived there while earning his first degree in Construction Engineering, then worked for Barclay's Bank of Kenya until 2000. He attended MCU’s Traditional side from 2000-2004, earning a Bachelor of Science in Management and Mathematics. During that time at MCU, Odipo was a two time All-American soccer player, and as team captain, led the Cougars to the to the national quarterfinals in 2001, and the national finals in 2002. His record of 74 goals as the all-time leading scorer for the Cougars has never been broken. MCU’s current marketing instructor also holds a Master of Business Administration from Murray State University, and is currently working on his Doctorate in the same at Northcentral University. Matt PierceFacultyMatthew Pierce is an instructor in Computer Information Systems at Mid-Continent University and has taught CIS classes for over seven years. He began working for MCU as a full time faculty member in July 2011. He holds a BS and MBA from Murray State University and an MDiv and ThM from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Matthew is a PhD candidate at SBTS in Louisville, Kentucky. Matthew serves as deacon of international outreach at Kenwood Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky and previously served as a missionary with the International Mission Board in Thailand. Barbara PierpontFacultyBarbara Pierpont is an instructor of Biology at Mid-Continent University. Prior to joining MCU full-time, she taught in the public school system for nine years, held an adjunct position for several colleges teaching science courses for four years, and held an adjunct position here at Mid-Continent University in Environmental Studies for three years. Her educational background includes a BA in Education-Science (1990) from Lindsey Wilson College, MS in Education-Curriculum Design and Instruction (2007) from Walden University, MS in Education-Physics (2012) from Western Governors University. William QuisenberryFacultyDr William Quisenberry attended Sullivan University where he received his Bachelor Of Science Degrees in Marketing and Finance as well as his Masters Degree in Business Administration. He received his Doctorate of Business Administration in Leadership from Walden University. Dr. Quisenberry has a diverse background that includes studying and practicing within the field of business administration, coordinating implementation projects for large corporate clients, vendor management, operations management, project management, marketing and business consulting. He has collaborated and worked with a variety of large organizations that include: Lexmark International, Halliburton, Branch Banking and Trust, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Wal-Mart, Army Core of Engineers, Accenture, IBM, Best Buy, Lockheed Martin, John Hancock Financial and the World Trade Center Association. Dena SkeesFacultyAfter a career as an advertising copywriter, Dena Skees earned her first advanced degree in 2007, in Rhetoric/Composition from the University of Louisville. Still studying evenings while raising two children, she earned a Masters in Teaching in 2009, from Bellarmine University. She is a published poet, and author of several trade marketing manuals. She has taught literature and writing at Kentucky State University and Indiana University. Since 2007, she has taught for Mid-Continent, enjoying the experience with highly motivated adult learners. Dena has two adult children, Catherine and Samuel. She enjoys poetry and painting in her spare time.

Paul ThompsonFacultyDr. Paul Thompson completed his BA Elementary Education at the University of Louisville. He received his MA School Psychology from Western Kentucky University and his Ed.D. School Psychology from University of South Dakota. Prior to working at Mid-Continent University, he held various positions throughout school systems in Kentucky. His former teaching experience includes Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative, Knott County Board of Education, Hindman Settlement School, and Shedd Academy. Roger TuckerFacultyRoger Tucker has been a Mid-Continent University Instructor since 2008. Prior to coming to MCU, he was a scientist in Microbiology for Louisville Water Company for 16 years. He received his undergraduate education: at Western Kentucky University earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 1989. He completed his Masters in Biology at the University of Louisville in 2005 Roger is married to Leasa with three Children, Tyler, Micheal, and Jenna. Sila TujuFacultyDr. Sila Tuju is the Assistant Professor of Management at Mid-Continent University. He has been teaching for more than seven years, teaching adults both in the classroom and online. Dr. Tuju began in banking; he worked for a few years at a major international bank in Africa. He then left banking to pursue higher education, earning a BA in business at Covenant College, and an MBA at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He returned to the workforce as a Project Manager/Trainer based in East Africa, but travelled to the USA, the Philippines, Ethiopia, and Kenya to train Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) leaders in micro-finance development. Dr. Tuju returned to the USA in 2003 to pursue other career interests, which have primarily been in real estate sales and academia. He is a licensed real estate broker in TN, and he holds a GA real estate sales license as well. In addition to being a realtor, Dr. Tuju had been teaching at the college level, which inspired him, in turn, to earn a doctoral degree. He completed his Ph.D. in Business Administration at Northcentral University, AZ. CJ TurnerFacultyC.J. Turner is the Associate Dean of Online Learning, the Online Learning Center Coordinator, and a Bible Instructor. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies at Mid-Continent Baptist Bible College, Mayfield, KY in 1998, a Masters of Divinity in Christian Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY in 2003, and a Masters of Theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY in 2009, by the grace of our Lord. He was born in Munich, West Germany and is now a naturalized U.S. Citizen. Professor Turner served in the U.S. Army as a medic for 12 years. During his time of service, he had the opportunity to serve in Iraq for the Gulf War earning the Combat Medical Badge. While serving he has visited various countries and states most all in the line of duty. He had the opportunity to sail several bodies of water in the line of duty as well. Professor Turner is a committed follower of Jesus Christ who loves to teach and continues to hope that God will use him to serve God’s Kingdom. He has a passion for getting church members to become productive members of God’s Kingdom. He has been married to his wife, Mitzi, for thirteen years, and God has blessed them with two grown children, Joseph and Jennifer, who have each professed their devotion to Christ as Lord. William C. WardFacultyWilliam C. Ward is Associate Professor of Accounting at Mid-Continent University. His full-time status started February 2002, after spending one year as an adjunct professor in 2001. After serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 through 1975, Ward earned his first degree, an A.A.Sc. in Business Administration. He continued his education from Western Carolina University, completing his B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in accounting. After full use of the G.I. Bill for educational assistance, Ward achieved his M.B.A. degree from University of Central Oklahoma. Ward earned a Post-Graduate Certificate in Accounting from Davenport University in 2006. He is halfway through the program for a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Northcentral University (as of July 2010). Ward believes in lifelong learning and stresses to the students to pursue the passion placed within the individual by our Heavenly Father. He earned a Bachelor of Ministry degree from Mid-Continent University in December 2002. Ward enjoys studying the Bible. He has earned degrees (Bachelor of Theology, Master of Theology, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry) from Christian Life School of Theology, located in Columbus, GA. Ward currently teaches an adult Sunday School class for his church. Ward is an ordained minister since March 2003. Ward is married to Pam Ward, a nationally certified and licensed massage therapist. The couple married in December 1999, and the blended family has five children and five grandchildren. They reside in Paducah and believe each day is a blessing from the Lord and are totally dependent on His wonderful hand of provision. To God be the glory for any good achieved in life! Robert Werner has worked in the field of education and community or private mental health since 1978. Since receiving a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology in 1988 from Pepperdine University, Robert has worked in public, private, academic, and research settings. His areas of clinical expertise include treating those affected with drug and alcohol disorders, eating disorders, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He has successfully taught in traditional and online university settings since 1999. Robert and his wife have been married for 11 years and have one daughter, Madeline. Jason WilloughbyFacultyJason R. Willoughby holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lindsey Wilson College and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Kaplan University. Currently, Jason is working on his PhD in Management with an emphasis in finance as he is doing his dissertation study on public entities and sustainability. Jason started teaching with Mid-Continent University in 2010 as he teaches management, finance, and is the lead professor for the Introduction to Business course. Jason is actively involved in the local 4 Rivers Society of Human Resource Management organization as the Co-Chair for the Workforce Readiness committee. Also, he is a current member of the Board of Governors for the Institute of Behavioral and Applied Management Organization as well as a peer-reviewer for their conference proceedings publication. Before coming to Mid-Continent University, Jason was the Treasury Supervisor for a Non-Profit Organization, which entailed addiction rehabilitation and he received the credentials of being a Master’s Addiction Counselor. As he resides in Paducah, Kentucky his favorite past times are writing music, being the music minister for his church, and publishing articles as he has been published in five academic journals and is currently writing his first book with two other Mid-Continent University professors. Stephen WilsonFacultyStephen Douglas Wilson was born near Harrodsburg, Kentucky. A first generation college graduate, he eventually was awarded a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D.—all from the University of Kentucky. In graduate school, he majored in history and has written a book on the historical Jesus entitled In the Fullness of Time. He has also published numerous articles in his field and has been a college professor since 1983. In 2002 he was named as the Dean of Arts and Sciences at Mid-Continent. Phillip YangFacultyPhilip Yang received his Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His B.S. in Applied Chemistry is from Feng Chia University in Taiwan. Besides Ph.D. and B.S. degrees, Professor Yang also holds three Master’s. His Master of Science in Chemistry and Master in Business Administration (MBA) are from Cleveland State University. He also holds a Master of Art in Theological Studies from Seminary of the East of Bethel University, St. Paul, Minnesota. Dr. Yang is an inventor of six US and European patents. His publications include seven scientific publications in English, and more than twenty articles in leadership and ministry in Chinese. Dr. Yang is an owner of multiple businesses and an overseer of an Evangelical fellowship of international churches in USA, Taiwan, and China.
