Director of Collegiate Athletics/Head Soccer Coach
Coach Zak, the TSAC and Mid-South Region Coach of the year, is entering his sixth season as the Cougars Head Coach. Coach Zakowicz has an overall men's record of 120-53-6, and a record of 110-42-5 at Mid-Continent University. With numerous NSCAA, TranSouth and KIAC, and NCCAA coach of the year honors, Zakowicz has had success as a player and a coach. Coach Zakowicz has trained with Hank Duut (Trainer/Head Coach) Fortuna Sittard of the Dutch Premier League, Jan Janssen (Youth Trainer/Coach) for Fortuna Sittard, Sef Vergoosen (Technical Director) for MVV Maastricht, Guojon Poroarsson (Trainer/Head Coach) for the Akranes Futbol Club in Iceland, and also Logi Olafsson the National Team Coach of Iceland. Joe Zakowicz is married to Darla Zakowicz, VP for Student Affairs at MCU. The Zakowicz's reside in Mayfield with their 18 year old daughter Alisha.
