The Career Services Office seeks to provide guidance to students during their entire educational experience at Mid-Continent University. It is the responsibility of this Office to offer students an opportunity to effectively and efficiently prepare for the world of work. This service includes a thorough self-assessment of interests, abilities, and values correlated with the requirements of a selected career. It will provide students with an informed opportunity to develop goals that will motivate and facilitate their preparation for their selected career. This opportunity is also available for alumni who wish to engage in a career change.
The Career Service Office is also active in assisting persons in resume writing and in the practical application of interviewing techniques. The resources available are the Discover Career Guidance Software System, and Jobtrak, a job search tool for placement.
Should a degree candidate wish to attend graduate school, current information is maintained on the different graduate schools in the various disciplines. As the requirements for graduate schools change, the Office updates its information on an annual basis. One on one attention is given to every recipient ensuring that they receive every opportunity the University has to offer to them in their entrance into the job market.
